Erdogan was quoted by Anadolu Agency as saying at a press conference following a Cabinet meeting in Ankara: “Turkey has never deviated from its position for 13 and a half years, and has not left the oppressed syrians at the mercy of oppressors and terrorist organizations. ” He added that Turkish people have “successfully passed the test of brotherhood and neighborliness in this regard. ” Regarding the ceasefire in Gaza, Erdogan reiterated his welcome for the agreement, noting that Turkey has also stood with justice and the rights of Palestinian people and their just cause.
