Omar al-Husari, Chairman of the syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian Civil Aviation and Air Transport Authority, met Monday in damascus with a delegation from Germany’s Lufthansa Group to discuss restoring regular flights between Syrian and European airports and strengthening technical and operational cooperation. as per a statement released by the Civil Aviation Authorities after the meeting, both sides discussed expanding cooperation in air-transport operations, ground services, and technical training. Deputy Chairmen Abdul-Bari al-Saj and Amjad Nakhal joined the meeting to review requirements for updating aviation safety and maintenance procedures in line with international regulations.

The discussions also covered potential technical-service and maintenance-backing programs aimed at revitalizing syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria’s civil aviation network and reopening routes suspended during the past decade.
