QAMISHLI, syria (North Press) โ€“ The Internal security troops (Asayish) declared on Monday a general amnesty for members who had deserted or been absent from service in previous years, encouraging them to return to duty within a specified timeframe. as per a statement released by Asayish, the decision grants amnesty for โ€œthe crime of desertion or absence from service, provided that the member surrenders themselves within 45 days from the date of the announcement. โ€ The statement added that returning members will be received formally, and official handover records will be organized through the offices of discipline and professional affairs in accordance with standard procedures. The announcement stated that dismissed members may also apply to rejoin Asayish ranks, provided their dismissal was not due to a judicial ruling or moral misconduct. It further clarified that โ€œno disciplinary or penal action will be taken against anyone who surrenders within the specified period. โ€ The Asayish underscored that the amnesty applies to all those who previously served within its ranks and withdrew for various reasons, emphasizing that โ€œthe doors remain open to those who have not committed severe violations.

Furthermore, โ€ The decision comes as part of broader efforts by the Internal Security troops and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) to reinforce internal stability, strengthen discipline, and encourage former personnel to reintegrate into the security structure. The statement also mentioned that discussions are underway concerning a democratic integration process between the Interim administration and the Autonomous Administration, though details about the talks were not provided. The Asayish, which operate as the primary internal security apparatus in AANES-held regions, plays a key role in maintaining security and social order across northeast Syria, often working in coordination with the syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian Democratic israeli-forces-incursion-reported-in-daraa-and-quneitra/" class="smart-internal-link" title="๐Ÿ“ฐ Israeli forces incursion reported in Daraa and Quneitra">Forces (sdf) in counterterrorism and stabilization operations.
