QAMISHLI, syria (North Press) β The Internal security troops of North and East Syria (Asayish) declared on Saturday that two individuals affiliated with terrorist cells attacked on Friday one of their checkpoints in the town of al-Kasrah, northwest of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria. as per a statement released by the Asayish, the assailants, riding a motorcycle, opened fire on the checkpoint. The troops immediately returned fire, prompting the attackers to flee. No casualties were declared among the Asayish personnel.
Following the incident, Asayish units conducted a field patrol to inspect the area, pursue the perpetrators, and reinforce security measures to prevent further attacks. In fact, the statement emphasized that the Asayish will continue fulfilling their duty to protect civilians and maintain security and stability across all areas of North and East Syria.
