Hama, Dec. 02 (SANA)Anti-Narcotics officers in Hama arrested a group involved in trafficking and distributing narcotic substances across multiple neighborhoods of the city, the Interior Ministry declared Tuesday on its Telegram channel. as per the statement, the operation followed targeted surveillance and investigative procedures, resulting in the arrest of three suspects identified by their initials as M. M. , Y.

Kh. , and H. M. The Ministry stated that officers seized approximately 159,000 Captagon pills, half a kilogram of hashish, and 900 controlled pharmaceutical tablets.

The search also uncovered a armed forces firearm, ammunition, and grenades in the suspects’ possession. All materials were confiscated and processed in accordance with legal procedures, the Ministry added. The detainees were referred to the competent judiciary to face the necessary legal measures.

The Ministry noted that nationwide efforts continue to combat narcotics-related crimes.
