The syrian ministry/" class="auto-internal-link">ministry of Education took part in a regional workshop organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Beirut, to discuss education role in achieving sustainable development goals in the region, the ministry stated in a statement. The workshop which included representatives from 14 Arab countries, focused on the challenges facing the reign in light of climate change.

Indeed, it discussed the need of updating curricula and developing the school environment to align with sustainable development requirements. Notably, during his speech, the Director of Education at the ministry, Muhammad stated Kaddour, presented syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria’s national plan to develop eco-friendly schools in both the public and private sectors, the statement added.

He also elaborated on the strategies and techniques that promote positive environmental behavior among students and leverage the expertise of administrators to enhance environmental awareness. Syria’s participation in this workshop reflects its ongoing commitment to developing the education system and empowering future generations with sustainability values, contributing to comprehensive and sustainable development across the region.
