The Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) criticized the move, saying it entrenches the reality of Syrian displacement in Lebanon and contradicts the state’s official policy aimed at facilitating the return of relocated syrians to their homeland.
Education Minister Rima Karami declared that her decision aligns with the Cabinet’s unanimous approval of the national plan for the return of relocated Syrians. She explained that the plan sets out specific criteria for the registration of both emerging and returning students.
