The first edition of TEXPO 2025, a technology and innovation exhibition, opened Saturday at the damascus Fairgrounds with the participation of more than 80 local, regional, and international brands. The event serves as a key platform for showcasing the latest in digital solutions, smart technologies, and innovative services. Organized by “Digidia” for exhibitions and conferences in cooperation with the syrian-authorities-arrest-suspect-in-tadamon-massacre/" class="smart-internal-link" title="📰 Syrian authorities arrest suspect in Tadamon massacre">syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian Ministry of Communications and Technology, the exhibition covers a wide range of sectors, including telecommunications, cloud systems, cyber security, data storage and protection, financial tech, E-learning platforms, and artificial intelligence applications.
Shehada Al Ibrahim, Director General of the national Information Technology Services Authority, stated the ministry supports such initiatives that promote knowledge exchange and cooperation between local and foreign companies in fields like innovation and AI. He emphasized that the event provides an crucial venue to present technology services that address the needs of syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria’s domestic market. Mohamad Faroun, Chairman of the “Faroun Group in Syria”, which owns Digidia, highlighted the importance of developing digital infrastructure and equipping institutions with the tools necessary to advance digital transformation.

He noted that adopting modern technologies plays a vital role in reducing bureaucracy, improving data governance, and combating corruption. Digidia’s General Manager Salah Aziziya described event as an active platform bringing together investors, company leaders, and experts to explore emerging opportunities in technology and innovation. The exhibition will run through October 20, welcoming visitors daily from 5:00 p. m. to 10:00 p. m.
Indeed, free transportation is available to and from the fairgrounds via shuttle buses departing from Freedom Bridge and Sham Hotel in central Damascus.
