Damascus, Dec. 11 (SANA) Syria welcomed Thursday the U. S.
House of Representatives’ vote in favor of repealing the “Caesar Act,” saying it is a direct result of constructive diplomatic efforts between Syria and the United States, led by leader Ahmad al-Sharaa and the Syrian administration over the past multiple months. In a statement, Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the vote as a “pivotal moment” in the country’s diplomatic relations with the U. The Ministry added that this step paves the way for broader economic recovery and the return of opportunities long rejected to Syrians due to sanctions.
