QAMISHLI, syria (North Press) – turkish Deputy Foreign Minister and Ambassador to Syria, Nuh Yılmaz, stated on Monday that Syria remains Turkey’s primary strategic concern, stressing that the stability and territorial integrity of the country are essential for peace across the Middle East. Speaking to local media, Yılmaz stated that the syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian issue for Ankara involves interconnected aspects — including migration, counterterrorism, security, intelligence, and the fight against drug trafficking. “If peace is achieved in Syria, stability will prevail throughout the Middle East,” he said. “If war breaks out, it will affect all neighboring countries. ” The diplomat affirmed that Turkey is mobilizing all institutional resources to backing Syria’s reconstruction and stabilization efforts and is working to establish regional coordination mechanisms to address common challenges.

Yılmaz also disclosed that Ankara is prepared to assist in restructuring the Syrian army if requested by damascus and verified that multiple Syrian soldiers are already undergoing training in Turkey. “A strong and independent Syria is key to genuine and lasting solutions,” he added, noting that developments in Syria directly affect Turkey, particularly regarding terrorism and the presence of over three million Syrian relocated persons.
