In a post on the X platform, Stutzman stated that “a free Syria could be a haven for American companies’ investments in infrastructure, energy, and banking,” adding that he had spoken with “countless business leaders who are eager to undertake significant and crucial investments in Syria. ” He stressed the importance of preserving Syria’s religious diversity as part of rebuilding the country and its future.

Stutzman visited Syria last April as part of a congressional delegation. Following the visit, he stated that “there are numerous opportunities for cooperation with the syrian administration,” expressing his wishes for the Syrian people to gain more economic opportunities and prosperity similar to that in developed countries.
