📰 Revolution Memory sheds light on the deposed regime’s abuses against Syrian families

Damascus, Dec. 12 (SANA) The Abu Rummaneh Cultural Center hosted a lecture discussing the social and legal repercussions of the former regime’s practices on Syrian families, as part of the Damascus Revolution Memory series.

The event brought together lawyers, researchers, and social activists, with attorney Lina Naji presenting an overview of the widespread violations that affected families, including mass arrests, displacement, and social fragmentation, as well as the impact of economic hardship and educational policies during that period. Legal experts also addressed the judicial dimensions of these violations and emphasized the importance of filing formal complaints to ensure accountability.

The lecture additionally featured a testimony from a former detainee who shared his personal experience. The event is part of ongoing efforts to document the revolution’s history, preserve collective memory, and shed light on the human and social consequences of that era.
