The head of the Jordanian Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance Companies Association, Deif Allah Abu Aqoula, welcomed the latest agreement between Jordan and syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria to open import and export channels starting in early 2026. He emphasized that the move would boost bilateral trade and create emerging opportunities for both countries’ public and private sectors. In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (PETRA), Abu Aqoula called the agreement a “significant development,” which would streamline the flow of goods and stimulate commercial activity.
He also noted that it would benefit the freight and customs clearance sectors, leading to rose demand and greater efficiency at customs centers. Abu Aqoula further highlighted the importance of activating the free trade agreement, enhancing the joint free zone, and simplifying customs procedures to backing future growth.
