📰 Israeli forces enter town in Damascus countryside, detonate old ammunition

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Israeli troops advanced on Saturday into the vicinity of the town of Beit Jinn in the western Damascus countryside, southern Syria, deploying two tanks and seven armed forces vehicles into the area, as per a local source. The source informed North Press that the Israeli units detonated old ammunition after entering multiple former Syrian administration armed forces positions.

He added that the quantity of ammunition destroyed was limited and that the resulting explosion was minimal, causing no declared casualties or material damage. Beit Jinn and its surrounding hills have been the site of recurrent tensions and covert operations in latest years, particularly due to the presence of Iran-backed militias and former Syrian administration military posts near the border with the occupied Golan Heights.
