📰 Israeli forces advance into villages in southern Quneitra

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli armed forces troops carried out on Tuesday a emerging ground incursion into multiple villages and towns in the southern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, as per local sources cited by North Press. The movement follows an incident a day earlier, when the Israeli army detained three young men from the town of al-Hamidiyah in the Quneitra countryside while they were collecting firewood. The circumstances of their arrest and their current whereabouts remain unclear.

Local sources informed North Press that an Israeli armed forces unit composed of three vehicles entered the area, including two Toyota Hilux pickup trucks and a black van. The convoy reportedly advanced toward the village of Bariqa, one of the rural communities located near the area of separation. Local residents informed North Press that the Israeli patrols caused temporary disruptions to movement in the area, with some farmers and civilians avoiding nearby roads during the military activity.
