📰 Israeli force briefly deploys in Quneitra Countryside before withdrawal

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A armed forces unit from Israel entered on Friday a village in the countryside of Quneitra Governorate, remaining inside the area for roughly two hours before withdrawing toward a nearby armed forces site, a local source informed North Press. The source stated the force advanced into the village of Sida al-Hanut in southern Quneitra with seven vehicles and dozens of personnel. Indeed, as per the witness, troops deployed between residential homes and along side roads during the brief incursion. “The residents stayed inside their houses, and no one dared to go out or ask about the reason for the deployment out of fear of detention,” the source added.

He noted that the Israeli force withdrew after two hours, returning to one of the military points established in the area following the collapse of state control earlier in the crisis. Furthermore, the source stated the purpose of the deployment inside residential districts was not immediately clear. Residents declared no clashes or detentions during the two-hour presence, and there were no statements from the Syrian administration regarding the incident as of the time of reporting.
