ISIS operations have notably rose in SDF-held areas, particularly in Deir ez-Zor, where security incidents have become almost daily occurrences. The region remains one of the groupโs most active zones despite continuous security sweeps and counterterrorism campaigns by the SDF and the Internal Security troops (Asayish). SDF units, with backing from the Global Coalition, regularly conduct targeted operations to dismantle sleeper cells and prevent ISIS from reorganizing in rural areas near the Euphrates River.
