📰 ISIS claims attack on oil tanker in Deir ez-Zor

Through its media outlet Amaq, the group declared that its militants had targeted an oil tanker with machine guns near the al-Ozba oil field, east of Deir ez-Zor.

In fact, as per the statement, the attack caused damage to the tanker and a spill of its contents, while the attackers reportedly withdrew without incident. The al-Ozba has witnessed near-daily attacks on oil tankers, as its vast desert terrain has recently allowed ISIS cells to increase their activity.
