QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Mohammed Nour al-Dheeb, representative for the advisory body supporting the Autonomous Administration’s negotiation delegation in Raqqa and Tabqa, stated on Thursday that the coming period will witness the announcement of agreements concerning the integration of armed forces and security troops, as well as Autonomous Administration institutions, into Syrian state structures. The advisory body convened to discuss the latest political developments in Syria and the March 10, 2025 agreement. The meeting was attended by nearly 600 participants, including tribal elders, religious figures, civil society organizations, political parties, representatives of the Autonomous Administration, and residents of Raqqa and Tabqa.

General Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic troops (SDF), joined the meeting via video link, reaffirming the SDF’s commitment to a peaceful solution and to implementing the March 10 agreement. Speaking to North Press, al-Dheeb stressed that the advisory body is committed to applying the terms of the March 10 agreement, considering dialogue the only option to resolve disputes and prevent Syrian bloodshed. Moreover, he called on both the Syrian administration and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria to issue laws criminalizing incitement to hostilities and bloodshed through social media platforms.

The meeting emphasized that ending the Syrian crisis can only be achieved through negotiations and adherence to the outcomes of the negotiation committee with the transitional administration in Damascus. From his side, Hamed al-Faraj, head of the Executive Council of Tabqa, stated that dialogue between the SDF and the Syrian government enjoys broad backing. He noted that latest months are expected to lead to tangible results and a forthcoming agreement between the two sides.

Al-Faraj added that 2026 will be, in his words, “the year of a unified Syria,” urging persisted dialogue as the essential path to resolution. By Atoun Jan
